In 1974, Alan Malcolmson was running a haulage company out of Hull Port, collecting casings and supplying tyres to other local haulage firms. By the 1980s he had established a business in Gilberdyke, East Yorkshire having expanded into the farm and speciality tyre markets. His son, Howard joined the business in 1989 and in 1993, Howard bought his first retreading equipment. Howard Remoulds started supplying Hull Port, fabricating basic commercial tyres and 385/65R22.5 agricultural remoulds. By the late 90s, as demands became more technical, the business grew and Alterever Ltd was incorporated in 1998.

Starting out small, working with agricultural customers from across the Humber region, the business has enjoyed significant diversification, development, and expansion over the past 4 decades. Under Howard’s direction, Alterever has made it’s name as a leading supplier to the European Port Industry and blue chip companies P&O Ferries, DFDS, Stena Line.

Developing our range of services to include custom manufacturing, major tyre repairs, tyre management, consultancy, and tyre monitoring, we’ve also diversified into new industries, and expanded our operation to work with customers worldwide.

Now the next generation is taking the company forward in the digital and sustainable era.
